Power Outage Doesn't Halt Production! Yotai Implements Multiple Grid-Connected and Off-Grid ESS Projects
2024.04.19

Recently, Yotai officially delivered grid-connected and off-grid energy storage systems designed for multiple industrial parks in Chaozhou City, helping local businesses achieve emergency backup power and transition to off-grid power supply mode. This ensures uninterrupted production during power outages and promotes high-quality economic development in Chaozhou City.

In recent years, with rapid economic growth, the demand for electricity in Chaozhou City has also surged. On July 10, 2023, the Chaozhou power grid load reached a historic high of 2.31 million kilowatts, a 3.5% increase over the previous year's peak, posing challenges to power supply. The power supply department called on industrial enterprises to adopt energy-saving equipment that complies with national energy consumption standards and actively manage peak electricity consumption. Stabilizing power supply and avoiding production halts due to power outages became the primary concern for local enterprises.

In response to these challenges, Yotai tailored grid-connected and off-grid energy storage solutions for multiple enterprises in Chaozhou. The initial cooperation phase includes 20 sets of 100kW/215kWh energy storage systems, based on photovoltaic power generation and energy storage backup, providing emergency power supply in off-grid mode to address power supply bottlenecks and ensure smooth production for enterprises.

Taking a local ceramic enterprise as an example, with an area of 20,000 square meters, the peak electricity demand is significant, resulting in high monthly electricity costs and strong requirements for the economy, reliability, and stability of electricity supply. Yotai equipped it with 5 sets of 100kW/215kWh energy storage systems, integrated with photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the factory building, achieving integrated management of solar power generation and energy storage. The successful implementation of the project provides the park with backup power sources, allowing seamless switching between grid-connected and off-grid power supply modes, ensuring uninterrupted power supply during power restrictions, stabilizing electricity supply, maintaining normal operation of production lines, reducing economic losses caused by power cuts, and peak shaving to lower electricity costs. Furthermore, coupled with photovoltaic power generation equipment, self-generated electricity further enhances the stability of park electricity consumption.

In this cooperation, Yotai completed delivery within one week while maintaining a high yield rate of 100%, meeting urgent customer needs. This is a typical application of Yotai Energy's 215kWh intelligent distributed energy storage system in industrial park scenarios and a new case of the "energy storage + X" strategy. In the future, Yotai will further cooperate with local enterprises in Chaozhou in the field of industrial park solar energy storage stations, bringing globally leading comprehensive new energy solutions to more enterprises in Chaozhou, jointly promoting the low-carbon transformation and upgrading of Chaozhou's industries, accelerating the construction of a new power system, and providing energy security for economic development.
